This GPO site has the complete contents of Title 40 of the Code of Federal
Regulations as printed in the July 1999 version of the printed CFR. The CFR is

More than a dozen major statutes or laws form the legal basis for the
programs of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). (More

National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA); 42 U.S.C. 4321-4347 NEPA is
the basic national charter for protection of the environment. It establishes
policy, sets goals, and provides means for carrying out the policy.

Administrative Code
Access to the Texas Administrative Code (TAC) is free as of March 9, 1996, but there are plans to charge for it as soon as an FTP site is established. Then access to the TAC will be $50 annually for 1 to 10 users, $100 for 11 to 100 users and so on. The TAC is not currently searchable, but is organized by Title. - Environmental Quality is Title 30 and
- Natural Resources and Conservation is Title 31.

- South Coast (CA) Air Quality Management District Regulations The South Coast AQMD is responsible for air quality in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino Counties. You can download all of its regulations in Microsoft Word or HTML format.

- California Hazardous Waste Code and Regulations. These can be reached through the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) web page. A list of available documents can be found here. Documents include an introduction to California hazardous waste laws, RCRA authorization regulations, AB 1772-Tiered Permitting, permit by rule for fixed treatment units, permit by rule for transportable treatment units, hazardous waste codes, a summary of bills through October 1994, and the 1993-94 Summary of Legislation.
